Crockpot Applesauce
20 large apples, peeled, cored, and sliced or cut in chunks
1 cup water
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
Put all ingredients into crockpot. Cover and cook on low 8-10 hours (high 3-4). For chunky sauce, break up the pieces with a potato masher.
After cooking: For smooth sauce, pour into blender and blend to desired consistency.
Peeling, coring, and cutting all the apples takes a lot of work, but the wonderful smell of apples and cinnamon filling up your home will be worth it. You certainly don't need to light your Yankee candle on the day you make this!!!
