Heather's Zippy Broccoli
7 cups fresh broccoli florets
2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. hot pepper sauce (optional)
1. Steam broccoli (be careful to not do this too long) and drain.
2. While the broccoli steams, mix the other ingredients together. After the broccoli is steamed and drained, toss the oil/lemon mixture to coat.
My boys LOVE this. When they see we are having broccoli for supper, they ALWAYS ask, "Is it Zippy Broccoli?" with a lot of hope in their voices, and there are lots of groans if that is NOT what I'm serving.
